LeRoy Charles "Roy" Wurster Obituary Ann Arbor News Friday, September 6, 1957 LeRoy Wurster Manchester C of C Officer Succumbs MANCHESTER - LeRoy Charles Wurster, 47, treasure of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce and a grocery store operator at Bridgewater for some 10 years, died yesterday at Ridgewood Osteopatic Hospital in Superior Township following a short illness. He had lived at 230 Auburn St. Mr. Wurster was born on Jan. 9, 1910, in Manchester, a son of Charles and Mary Fielder Wurster. In 1938 he married Lucille Stanley in Detroit. The couple moved to Manchester in 1939. He was a member of the Emanuel United Church of Christ here. Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Gaelene and Marilyn, at home; his parents; two brothers, Edward and Frederick, both of Manchester; three sisters, Mrs. Aletta Kulemkamp of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Doris Evilsizer of Manchester and Mrs. Hilma Tervo of Manchester. Two half brothers, Victor Wurster of Manchester and Ralph Wurster of Chelsea; a half sister, Mrs Norma Stautz of Manchester; two step brothers, Harold McLean of Ann Arbor and Stewart McLean of Bridgewater township, also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Emmanuel United Church of Christ with the Rev. Karl H. A. Rest officiating. Burial will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
